What does AIApply do?

AIApply scans job listings, matches them to your profile, writes a tailored resume and cover letter for each role and submits applications for you based on your filters. It also offers an AI mock interview and an interview assistant, and sells auto-apply on a credit basis. Its auto-apply page does not say which job sites it applies on or whether you can review each application before it is sent, so ask before you buy if either matters to you.

Why look for an AIApply alternative?

  • You want to approve applications before they go out, at least at first.
  • You want to know exactly which sites your applications are sent through.
  • You prefer a flat monthly price to buying credits.
  • You want guarantees about sensitive questions such as visa sponsorship or self-identification.

1. InterviewBoost AI Apply

AI Apply pulls live jobs from company career sites (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, Taleo), scores each one against your resume with reasons, tailors a resume per job and fills in the employer's own form.

  • Review before sending: yes. Review mode sends nothing until you approve; Hybrid sends only matches above your score; Auto applies within your daily limit.
  • Truth check: tailored resumes can only reword what is in your base resume. Legal, sponsorship and self-ID questions use only answers you saved, and those answers never go to the AI model.
  • Pricing: $19, $39 or $79 a month for 50, 200 or 600 applications. Hybrid, Auto and Workday-style portals are on Pro and Premium. 7-day free trial with 3 applications.
  • Not the right pick if: you want LinkedIn Easy Apply or Indeed volume. We apply on company career sites, not job boards.

2. LazyApply

LazyApply is built for volume. Its pricing page lists yearly plans from $99 (15 applications a day) to $999 (1,500 a day), and names Greenhouse, Dice, Indeed and ZipRecruiter among supported sites, plus LinkedIn. Good if you want the most applications per dollar; its pricing page does not say whether it tailors the resume per job.

3. Simplify

Simplify Copilot is a free browser extension that autofills applications on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo and more, and tracks what you sent. You still open and submit each application yourself. Simplify+ ($39.99 a month per its help center) adds AI resume tailoring, cover letters and Autopilot. Best if you want to stay hands-on.

4. Sonara

Sonara was one of the first fully hands-off auto-apply tools. The original company shut down on 1 February 2024; BOLD, the owner of Zety and LiveCareer, later relaunched the brand and the site is live again. Reported pricing varies between sources, so check it at checkout.

Which one should you pick?

  • Want control and tailored resumes: InterviewBoost (Review or Hybrid mode).
  • Want maximum volume on job boards: LazyApply.
  • Want to submit everything yourself, faster: Simplify's free extension.
