Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InterviewBoost.ai and its associated applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and InterviewBoost.ai. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

InterviewBoost.ai provides an AI-powered interview coaching platform that includes:

  • AI Mock Interviews: Practice interviews with AI-generated questions tailored to your target role, with real-time evaluation and scoring of your responses.
  • Live Interview Assist: Real-time coaching and suggested responses during actual interviews, delivered via a companion window or mobile device.
  • Resume Generation: AI-powered resume parsing and personalized answer suggestions based on your experience.
  • Behavioral Analysis: Optional webcam-based analysis of facial expressions, body language, and communication patterns during mock interviews.
  • Coding Practice: Technical interview preparation with code evaluation and feedback.
  • Interview Review: Upload and analyze recordings of past interviews for detailed feedback and improvement plans.

The Service is intended for personal interview preparation purposes only.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address or signing in through Google OAuth. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

The Service is provided for personal interview preparation only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models, prompts, or algorithms
  • Use the Service to generate content for purposes other than personal interview preparation
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or attempt to compromise the Service infrastructure
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its outputs
  • Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair its functionality

5. Recording Consent

The Service captures audio and optionally video for the sole purpose of providing interview feedback. By using these features, you acknowledge and consent to the following:

Mock Interviews: Your microphone audio and optionally your webcam video are captured during AI mock interviews. Audio is transcribed in real-time and not persisted. Webcam frames are analyzed for facial expression patterns and immediately discarded -- no images are stored.

Live Interview Recording: During live interviews, your microphone audio and system audio (from your meeting application) may be captured. You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws regarding audio recording in your jurisdiction. Many jurisdictions require all-party consent before recording a conversation. It is your responsibility to obtain consent from all parties being recorded where required by law.

Uploaded Recordings: Audio or video files you upload for review are processed for transcription and analysis, then permanently deleted within 24 hours.

InterviewBoost.ai is not liable for any legal consequences arising from your use of the recording features. You will always be shown a consent dialog before any audio or video capture begins. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on data handling.

6. Data Commitments

We believe your interview practice data is deeply personal. InterviewBoost.ai makes the following binding commitments:

  • Never sell your data: We will never sell, license, or trade your personal data, recordings, transcripts, or scores to any third party.
  • Never share with employers or recruiters: We will never share your recordings, transcripts, scores, or any performance data with employers, recruiters, hiring platforms, or any entity involved in hiring decisions.
  • Never use for AI training: We will never use your audio, video, biometric data, or interview content to train AI models.
  • Never perform facial recognition: We do not identify you from video. Our analysis is limited to expression patterns and body language assessment.
  • Always allow deletion: You have complete control to delete any interview, transcript, analysis, or your entire account at any time.
  • Always be transparent: We will always clearly disclose what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, source code, AI models, prompts, algorithms, and content, is owned by InterviewBoost.ai and protected by intellectual property laws. Content you upload (resumes, transcripts, recordings) remains yours. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded content or interview data. AI-generated feedback and analysis are provided for your personal use and may not be commercially redistributed.

8. Payment Terms

InterviewBoost.ai offers the following subscription tiers:

  • Free: A one-week trial with usage caps on mock interviews and features. After seven days, continued feature access requires an upgrade to the Standard plan; your account data is preserved.
  • Standard: Unlimited usage of all platform features, billed monthly or annually (annual billing carries a 25% discount).

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. All payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card information. You may cancel your subscription at any time, effective immediately: monthly subscriptions receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of the billing month; annual subscriptions are charged for each commenced month of use at the standard monthly rate, with the remainder of the annual payment refunded.

In addition, refund requests may be submitted within 7 days of a new subscription payment for a full refund. After 7 days, additional refunds are provided at our discretion. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Free trial limits may change at our discretion.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses AI to generate feedback, scores, suggested answers, and improvement plans. This content is provided for informational and preparatory purposes only and does not constitute professional career advice, a guarantee of interview success, an assessment of your actual qualifications, or legal, financial, or employment advice. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies. You should use your own judgment in applying any suggestions.

10. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INTERVIEWBOOST.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InterviewBoost.ai, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: your access to or use of the Service; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or your use of the live recording feature in violation of applicable recording consent laws.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time through your account Settings or by contacting support. If you cancel a paid subscription, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with:

  • United States: The laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.
  • India: For users residing in India, disputes may also be resolved in the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, in accordance with applicable Indian law.
  • European Union: For users residing in the EU/EEA, disputes may also be resolved in the courts of Ireland, in accordance with applicable EU law. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute with InterviewBoost.ai through good-faith negotiation by contacting us at [email protected]. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), with arbitration conducted in the State of Delaware. This arbitration clause does not apply where prohibited by applicable law, including for consumers in the EU/EEA or India who may bring claims in their local courts.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of material changes by email or through a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
